Seeking a Network Engineer to join a team responsible for administration, troubleshooting, design and configuration of ICT Networks. You will also have experience in network security, architecture, planning and managing small network related projects. To be successful, you will be versatile, approachable, and open to after-hour support.
You bring:
·       Proven experience in a Network Administration role

·       Experience with modern data Networking, TCPIP and telecommunication

·       Experience in project delivery from architecture, design and delivery

·       Experience in IT and Telecommunications - bonus

·       Knowledge of network security – bonus

·       Experience with common office automation tools, especially Microsoft Office products

 We are looking for an experienced network engineer to join our growing team in the Waikato to provide exceptional services to our client based across New Zealand. You will plan and develop and design for network changes, capacity and performance management, provide technical advise as well as mentor other members of the team in the area of expertise. The ideal candidate is a good team player and has a biased for customer satisfaction.

 Required Skills:

In depth knowledge of the following:

•            Data Networking

•             Carrier Ethernet

•             MPLS/ BNG/ VPLS/ EVPN/ QoS /IGP/BGP routing

•             Radius/PPPoE

•             Fixed Wireless

•             Segment Routing

•             Route Optimization and Assurance

•             EVPN and other Adaptive IP network architectures

 Working technical knowledge of IP/MPLS networks, architectures and network management.

Familiarity with SDN, network virtualization Familiarity with automation(eg. python ansible),

Knowledge and experience working with:

UNIX/Linux/RHEL/Ubuntu and/or any other server OS, be it on bare metal and/or Virtual Machine, and system admin functions.

system level, Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols (like MPLS, IGP, BGP, Segment Routing,  EVPN etc).

Python, Java, JavaScripting, CORBA, TCL/TK/Expect, Oracle, WebLogic and/or REST API

Working knowledge of Mikrotik routers, Ubiquiti and Cambium for fixed wireless
